Sandy Beach is a popular body and boogie board surfing spot on the northeast coastline of Oahu -- about 10 miles from Honolulu. Recently, then candidate Obama body surfed here on his "vacation" after securing the nomination. In one of their "swift-boat" attacks, the Republicans tried to smear Obama by showing a boogie board washing up on shore sans rider. However, it didn't fool surfers as they were all aware Obama was BODY surfing -- that boogie board was NOT lost by Obama in a wipeout! Actually, most knowlegable observers ranked him well above average in skill -- especially considering he hadn't surfed in many years! (My photos were taken in '03 so you won't see the now president in any of the shots!)
